5 signs your company is underusing AI (and what it's costing you)

AI is everywhere in conversations but rarely in processes. If you recognize yourself in 3 of these 5 signs, it's time to act.

1. Your team only uses AI to 'ask questions'

ChatGPT open in a tab, questions asked on the fly, answers copy-pasted. That's the most basic AI usage, the equivalent of googling but fancier. Real potential starts when AI executes complete tasks, not when it answers one-off questions.

2. Nobody on the team knows what an 'agent' or 'workflow' is

If these words aren't part of your team's vocabulary, that's a clear sign. Agents and workflows are the building blocks of modern AI systems. Not knowing them in 2026 is like not knowing what a spreadsheet is in 2005.

3. You have zero processes running without human intervention

If every task still needs someone to start it, monitor it, and finalize it, you don't have a system. You have tools. The nuance is crucial: a tool helps you work, a system works for you.

4. You follow AI news but implement nothing

Reading newsletters, watching demos, bookmarking threads, all of this creates an illusion of progress. The real indicator: what did you concretely change in your processes this month thanks to AI? If the answer is 'nothing,' you're consuming information without turning it into action.

5. Your competitors ship faster than you

This might be the most telling sign. If similar-sized competitors produce more content, respond faster to prospects, or launch products quicker, chances are they've integrated AI into their processes. The gap only grows.

What it's costing you

Every month without an AI system in place means time wasted, missed opportunities, and a competitive gap that keeps widening. The good news: catching up is faster than you think. A structured coaching program of a few weeks is enough to lay the foundations.
